• Listed price is per participant and includes the creation of one glass heart

Description:

In this one-hour workshop, you will design and assist in the making of your very own glass heart. This experience is open to all skill levels and is intended to be partially hands-on.

As a beginner, you will select your colors from over 35 available options to create a truly one-of-a-kind glass heart, and have the opportunity to get a feel for the tools and process by working with 2,100-degree molten glass. With guidance from our instructors, you will assist in shaping and forming your heart as we work with one participant at a time.

Our very experienced instructors will closely guide you every step of the way and determine how “hands on” each experience will be. This will vary from individual to individual to ensure the best experience and end product.

IMPORTANT:

• Be sure to thoroughly read our Cancellation Policy prior to booking this workshop.

• If you would like to ensure having this experience with a friend or family member, it is important to register under one registration. If you register separately, you could risk one of the dates or times selling out before your friend or family member is able to register. Booking dates and times are first come, first served.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Release Forms

All participants are required to complete a Release Form prior to participating in any glass workshop offered at Wyandotte Art & Glass Center. Participants must bring a printed and signed copy of their Release Form with them to the Art Center. We will also have Release Forms available to sign on-site prior to the start of your workshop. If you need to sign a Release Form at the Art Center, it is important to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the start of your workshop to allow adequate time.

Arrival Time & Late Policy

It is very important to arrive on time for your scheduled workshop. Due to the nature of working with hot glass and the structured flow of our classes, late arrivals cannot always be accommodated. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, you risk losing your ability to participate in the workshop and will forfeit your registration with no refund.

• Unless otherwise specified, glass workshops are recommended for ages 14 and older. Participants under the age of 18 must submit a signed parental consent form and have a guardian present during their experience.

• Unless otherwise specified, glass classes and workshops do not require any previous experience or knowledge of glass blowing and are intended for beginners. All skill levels are welcome.

• All tools, materials, and finished pieces are provided and included in the listed price.

• All pieces created during workshops must go through an annealing process. The 2,100-degree molten glass is slowly cooled over a 24-hour period in a controlled-temperature kiln to ensure structural integrity and prevent cracking. Once properly annealed, your piece will be ready for pickup the following week. We will contact each participant when their piece is ready. If you live out of state, we are happy to ship your piece at the cost of shipping.

• If this workshop is sold out and you would like to be placed on a waitlist, please email info@wyandotteartandglasscenter.com. If availability opens, waitlisted participants will be notified on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Once a Wyandotte Art and Glass Center course or workshop has been purchased we cannot offer any refunds. We will allow a ONE time rescheduling, for a fee of $10 per participate. All rescheduling must be done at lease 72 hours prior to the date and time of your registered class. Please review our full cancellation policy HERE.
